Philadelphia Baptist Church of Gaffney SC
Just as Jesus said in the Beatitudes, blessed are the poor and the hungry. Our mission is not just to love one another, but to make sure we spread the love of the Gospels everywhere.
Philadelphia Baptist Church is a church (a body of born-again believers) that are governed solely by the principles and doctrines recorded God's Word. We teach and operate in Biblical principles, thereby, becoming a lighthouse, spreading its beacons across the world proclaiming the "Good News" of Jesus Christ. In this church, people receive instruction in the Word and learn how to rise from the smoldering embers of their burned-out hopes, faulty lifestyles, and decrepit faith into the glorious light of their rights and privileges in Him.

The Philadelphia Baptist Church was organized on August 28, 1886. The organizers of the church purchased the land on Pacolet Highway, then a part of Spartanburg County, and erected the first church. This church was torn down in 1920 when the church members built the church located at 1193 Pacolet Highway. Many improvements were made to this church over the years including additional space being added to the rear of the church, changing the structure from wood to brick, and the installation of central heating and air conditioning.
The congregation grew over the years, and in 1994 the members of the Philadelphia Baptist Church made a decision to build a new sanctuary. The new sanctuary was erected and dedicated on the current location, 1195 Pacolet Highway, on August 20, 1995.
At Philadelphia Baptist Church, Gaffney, SC, it's our mission to help you explore your relationship with God and improve those meaningful relationships in your family life. Join us each Sunday and experience the warmth of faith and the strength of our community.
